From the Coaching Bench,
Well we had our second game of the season and unfortunately again we lost this time to Silverdale Gold 10 to 25. Both Terry and I were happy with the overall improvement in the team. Our tackling and fitness has improved although we will still be concentrating on it in practice. The other pleasing aspect to the game was our scrums, rucks and malls I think once the team gets the idea of supporting each other better and passing through the hands more, we will hopefully start winning a few games
Wayne Viviani once again had a storming game scoring our only 2 tries he is starting to get a good total up. Kaycee Anibueze was player of the day as he had a very good game in the forwards making some good tackles and runs as well as supporting the play well. We have a new player in our team Te Ruki or T for short he made some good runs from penalty taps and did well with his first game for us at prop.
To our parents it would be helpful to us if you could ensure your kids stay active outside of rugby so we keep the kids fitness up.
Thank you to all the parents who remembered the $2 and understanding it would be better to give it to Gypsy as she is the organisation guru behind this team.
Look forward to seeing you guys on Tuesday.
Please Remember: DON’T FORGET YOUR MOUTH GUARDS!!
